Who we are
Patchwhistle is a product of Cogtix. Cogtix owns and operates the Patchwhistle service, and these terms are an agreement between you and Cogtix. In these terms, “Patchwhistle”, “we” and “us” mean Cogtix. Learn more about Cogtix at www.cogtix.com.
The service
Patchwhistle provides an AI chatbot for your website, trained on content you provide, with conversations, lead capture and tools to improve its answers. Plans also include the Monitoring add-on. Each website you add has exactly one chatbot.
Plans and limits
There is no free plan. Plans are limited by the number of websites (Watch 1, Care 3, Complete 10), pages trained per website, and chatbot messages per month. The current limits are on the pricing page. When a chatbot reaches its monthly message limit it pauses until the next month or until you upgrade.
Trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card. When the trial ends, the chatbot stops answering visitors and the test chat is turned off until you choose a paid plan. Your training content, conversations and leads are kept.
Payment and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly through Dodo Payments. You can change or cancel your plan from the billing page in your dashboard; plan changes are prorated. When a cancellation takes effect, the chatbot stops answering visitors and the test chat is turned off. Your data is kept until you delete it or ask us to.
Your content and your website
You confirm you have the right to use the content you train the chatbot on, and that you operate the websites you add. Crawls and checks only use public pages; you will not point Patchwhistle at systems you do not operate, at private networks, or use it to bypass access controls.
Chatbot answers
The chatbot writes answers with AI from your content. It is designed to answer only from that content and to say when it does not know, but AI can still make mistakes. You are responsible for the content it learns from and for checking that important answers are right. Answers are not legal, medical or financial advice.
Visitor data
Visitors may share their name, email or phone number with your chatbot. You decide how you use those leads and are responsible for telling your visitors how their data is handled. See our privacy notice for what we store and the subprocessors we use, including OpenAI for AI processing.
Fair use
Do not use the chatbot to deceive visitors, collect data you are not allowed to collect, or work around plan limits. We may limit or suspend a chatbot that is used this way.
